While at the Journée du Labex Bézout on Data Science and Massive Data Analysis (more on that later), I finally met Balázs Kégl who mentioned to me a one-day kick-off event at Saclay (South of Paris) for the newly funded Paris-Saclay Center for Data Science (Data Science for the Sciences) with many good looking presentations, here is what he sent me about the event:
