CfP: Khipu 2019: Latin American Meeting in Artificial Intelligence, Montevideo, Uruguay, November 11-15th, 2019

"Hi Igor,

I hope you are doing well. I'm contacting you to let you know about the first edition of Khipu: an annual LATAM meeting in AI that will be held in Facultad de Ingeniería (UdelaR), Montevideo, Uruguay, Nov. 11-15, 2019. The main goal of the event is to strengthen the AI local community by bringing high level training and by fostering research collaborations within and outside the region.

We'll have terrific speakers! Among the confirmed speakers is Yoshua Bengio (Turing award) and Jeff Dean (Google Senior Fellow). Full list of confirmed speakers is at https://khipu.ai.

We'd really appreciate it if you help us spread the announcement below so that we can reach as many people (in particular Latin American students/researchers) as possible!

**Khipu 2019: Latin American Meeting in Artificial Intelligence**
Call for participation (apologies for multiple copies)

Applications are now open for the first edition of Khipu: Latin American Meeting in Artificial Intelligence. The event aims to strengthen the local community by bringing high level training and by fostering research collaborations within and outside the region. Khipu 2019 will be held in Montevideo, Uruguay, in November 11-15th. The event will have a summer school component with lectures on different topics in machine learning paired with practical coding sessions, but it will also host research talks, round tables and moments where attendees from academia and industry will be able to share their work.
Confirmed speakers include this year’s Turing award Yoshua Bengio and Google Senior Fellow Jeff Dean.
