Nuit Blanche in Review is a series of blog entries summarizing the entries on Nuit Blanche every month. Here is the one for July 2013. Last month's is here. In the meantime, you can also join the Google+ Community (489), the CompressiveSensing subreddit (131), the LinkedIn Compressive Sensing group (2399) or the Matrix Factorization (723) and post there. I also added the number of Google +1's above 2 for each post this month, enjoy the list
First and foremost, we had five implementations made available by their authors
- ScatNet: An implementation of Scattering Networks transforms and classification algorithms +7
- Optimally weighted recovery of a low-rank signal matrix from a high-dimensional signal-plus-noise matrix
- Embedding Multiclass Data Hiding in Compressed Sensing
- The Fukushima Inverse Problem +4
- CO4OI: Convex Optimisation for Optical Interferometry
And then we have hours of videos from the different meetings that took place this month and earlier. So far I have seen quite a few in a binge watching exercise but I am not done yet. Kudos to the organiwers of all these meetings of going through the pain of making those videos available.
Other meeting related entries include
- SPARC 2013 List of abstracts and Workshop on Theoretical Aspects of Big Data at CUHK abstracts
- Call for Expression of Interest in hosting "SPARS15"
- ICDM Astroinformatics Workshop 2013
- ROKS2013 Extended abstracts, SAHD Program Agenda
- GraphLab presentations +3
- List of Abstracts for the Duke Workshop on Sensing and Analysis of High-Dimensional Data (SAHD)
We had one Sunday Morning Insight entry:
We had a few entries focus on the following subjects
- A small Q&A with Valerio Cambareri
- The Summer of the Deeper Kernels
- Recovery conditions for Greedy Solvers
- Examples of 1-bit hardware sensors
- Cluster expansion made easy with Bayesian compressive sensing
- Group Testing: GROTESQUE: Noisy Group Testing (Quick and Efficient), Efficient Probabilistic Group Testing Based on Traitor Tracing, Group testing algorithms: bounds and simulations
- Homomorphic Sketches: Shrinking Big Data without Sacrificing Structure +9
- Modal Analysis with Compressive Measurements in Structural Health Monitoring +4
- Fourier Domain Beamforming: The Path to Compressed Ultrasound Imaging / Compressive sensing based beamforming for noisy measurements
- Imaging sparse metallic cylinders through a local shapefunction Bayesian compressive sensing approach
- Fast greedy algorithm for subspace clustering from corrupted and incomplete data and Optimization Online this month +3
- Fluorescent microscopy beyond diffraction limits using speckle illumination and joint support recovery
- On Embedding The Angles Between Signals, Sparse Signal Reconstruction from Phase-only Measurements +3
- Square Deal: Lower Bounds and Improved Relaxations for Tensor Recovery / Tensor-based formulation and nuclear norm regularization for multi-energy computed tomography
