Cassini took a picture of you two days ago

N00213964.jpg was taken on July 19, 2013 and received on Earth July 20, 2013. The camera was pointing toward EARTH at approximately 898,415,354 miles (1,445,859,360 kilometers) away, and the image was taken using the CL1 and GRN filters.

Let us point that Cassini-Huygens was conceived and proposed to ESA back in 1982, or about 31 years ago. With Pioneer and other similar space probes, it would be a good fit to those long standing experiments. Other longest running experiments can be found on Metafilter.
