A hand-waving introduction to sparsity for compressed tomography reconstruction - python, implementation -

Gael Varoquaux just sent me the following presentation: A hand-waving introduction to sparsity for compressed tomography reconstruction by Gael Varoquaux and Emmanuelle Gouillart.

The simpler LASSO approach was featured earlier on the Python based scikits-learn package. The FISTA-TV implementation is at: https://github.com/emmanuelle/tomo-tv and is also in Python. I look forward to more advanced algorithms in Python in the future :-)

Thanks Gael.
