In the keynote talk given at the CASIS Workshop, Rich primes the audience with a slide on the upcoming Accelerating Data Deluge. The figure he uses seems to be from an extrapolation of an IDC report from 2008 or even 2010 where it is shown we produced more bits than we could store.
Because the people behind that report could not foresee the breakthrough in genomics that occurred in those years (2007-2010), that regression simply did not include genomics data In short, It's worse !
