1-bit cameras concepts (QIS, Gigavision Camera)

From Quanta Image Sensor: Possible paradigm shift for the future by Eric Fossum, it becomes quite obvious that either there will be a breakthrough in CMOS or we need either vanilla Bernouilli compressive sensing or count-min sketches or more sophisticated approaches. Like many good hardware designers, Eric wants to solve that problem, one way or the other.....

For the Gigavision camera that features "binary pixels as DRAM", the authors are looking into specific Image Reconstruction in the Gigavision Camera, but I am sure that using sparsity or structured sparsity may even get them further.
